USA measurements 15cm x 15cm = 6" square - for tree 14.5cm x 14.5cm - trim 3/8" from 2 adjacent sides of 6" square (where demonstrator trims 5mm) - for base If you get a ruler with cm and inches it will make life a lot easier!

Just mark the measurement in cm on scrap paper, then measure it in inches! Actually the comment was meant for Amy Enzenroth and any other US folders, as most origami instructions are in cm (or both)
