I believe on Amazon it comes up as a therapeutic plunger, not sure on the actual name of it though I'm afraid. I think searching mini plunger also works too

What's the purpose of the cloth around your wand?

I like to keep a cloth around the steam wand to prevent splash from the drop tray, and also so that when I purge the wand the water onto the cloth helps when wiping the steam wand off after steaming milk
