Loved this video. For some reasons, niching is a concept I can’t grasp. I’m a kind of a style hopper and I couldn’t think of doing the same style, using the same medium over and over again so I’m glad you talked about this subject. Thanks 💕

Love this video and your honest reflections on your own art journey. It's really helpful to hear about it. I'm not really a niche person either. There are so many different types of beauty in this world, and I want to explore many. I think that's why I'm drawn to Spoonflower too. Looking forward to watching more of your videos :)

I enjoy painting & nature photography. I like to take my pictures & make patterns with them in PS. Just recently learned that surface pattern design is even a thing! Now trying to learn all I can so I can get started. I have always loved patterns & a wide variety of aesthetics so I cannot imagine picking a niche.

Niching down is definitely not easy! I think doing what makes us happy is also super important.

Great video! 😊 I don't think picking a niche is for everyone. I appreciate other people's opinions and advise, but ultimately I like following my own intuition. I'm a new artist, but it does seem to me that picking a niche might be a hard one for me too. We'll see as time goes by. Btw, looking forward to your skillshare classes ❤

Hello, I love this video so much. I am in the process of being assess for adhd, because I do not seem to be able to focus on one thing at all. One minute I concentrate on being a collage artist, another being a painter or textile artist... the only thing that comes naturally to me is drawing though my drawing style is completely different from others. I spend a lot of time trying to find people drawing like me and I can't find. So now, at the minute, I am going back to pattern design, thinking that I might use my drawing (which I tried to change to fit the mass but it still does not work) to create pattern. I love this video best so far because I can recognise myself in your description and truth about why you do not want a niche. It really resonate with me. I do think I have a style, I just need to accept that it is special, probably like myself, if I have adhd or autism. Anyway, I can not wait for your classes on Skillshare. I will join just for your classes, never did it before.
