This is very beautiful. You remind me of a good friend of mine, named AJ Hickling, a piano busker in Queenstown, New Zealand. I stumbled upon this man in 2016 when I was lost. He was dreadlocked, playing a trusty old wooden piano by the lakefront, and seeing him so attuned to nature, expressing emotions and colours I'd only ever dreamed of... I decided to become a pianist that day, I decided to become an artist. AJ Hickling passed away several weeks ago. You remind me of him, attuned with nature, expressing yourself in such a true way. God bless you man. From NZ.

Your comment deserves, likes, loves, hearts ❤️ Thanks for being on this planet. Thanks for loving and pointing to beauty. This is where we excel and it is the material and fabric of what does and will heal all things. No greater love than to love one another in these ways. Embrace every moment of peace, joy, and beauty as you evoke and play in it. Your comment deepens me ever more into these places that are our places, that are us.

Hi Joshua, I'm sorry to hear about your friend AJ Hickling. It's beautiful to read how he was able to inspire you to become an artist. True expression and nature will always touch us in a way that that makes us humble and vulnerable. I'm glad you enjoyed this piano piece.

AJ hickling also saved my life. Reading this comment and finding out that he passed really made me tear up. It was in my hardest times in life when AJ hicklings music kept me going. Music has been a part of my life starting age 6. As a self taught piano player (also play 4 other instruments) music has always been with me. I will cherish all the songs of AJ hickling long after his death and keep him alive. Today, about 10 years after my discovery of AJ, I am becoming a dad. Today I make good money, have a house and a beautiful family. Thanks to people like AJ and thanks to people like Nicholas it was possible for me to get out of my version of hell and now live in paradise. I truly want to thank you for this beautiful piece

I keep coming back to listen to this piece. It feels ethereal. Peaceful but with a sense of wonder and curiosity. And a touch of melancholy. I love the usage of "circular melody" (not a pro so I don't know the technical term, but I meant that repetitive melody that gives this feeling that it loops. I hear this with Hans Zimmer sometimes as well). I really love this music and thank you for sharing your art for the world to hear. Closest thing that we humans have to the divine.

The arpeggio in which the chords follow one another and the counterpoint in which several harmonies are juxtaposed simultaneously constitute a wonderful technique to achieve an enveloping, magical atmosphere that is like an arrow of fire that pierces the cold steel of our defensive armor, those with those of us who naively try to avoid getting emotional and not letting anything or anyone hurt us again. To a greater or lesser degree we all tend to forge these shields after suffering some painful disappointment. This music makes us vulnerable again... Sometimes the atmosphere that these compositions create connects with feelings of sadness, nostalgia, existential tragic sense... This is what composers like Johann Johannsson or Max Richter have achieved. Other times, like in this piece, it is an atmosphere that makes one feel hope and joy. The former help those who usually confront harsh reality as it is, without hiding its cruelty and crushing gravity, to feel accompanied in the struggle. The latter are essential wings for those who have a tendency to fall into depressive pits. In any case, life without the vision of beauty that music can bring would be a terrible and sordid mistake. Obviously IMO.

Hello Nicholas, here's my little letter to you. I have always enjoyed the piano but always thought i wouldn't be able to do it. It is always hard to try a new hobbie as there are always doubts that come with the beginning of trying something new. I have, however, started to play because of this particular and poetical song, and to you I'm grateful for I have found a new passion and am looking forward to learning more songs. I'm still slow and have yet to learn more but I am confident in my abilities as the love i developed for this art is what keeps me from giving up due to some obstacles that come along this journey. Thank you gor sharing your beautiful artistry with the rest of the world and I hope I will, one day, be able to hear your beautiful songs live!
