Seeing 2 people get taken apart by a car back when I was like 4 ot 5 taught me all I needed to know about crossing the street lmao I didn't even get scared or scarred by it. I could tell that it would happen when I saw 2 idiots run out of a cafe right onto the road. I did feel bad for the driver, an old guy got out of the car, grasping his head in a panic. Then my dad told me "lets get out of here before cops arrive, or they'll waste a lot of our time because we're witnesses". And so I learned about cops also. It was a good day.

I had this idea for an anime for a while: Someone gets hit by Truck-kun, but gets isekai'd into another world AS a Truck-kun. Like how that one where the guy is a vending machine? Yeah this time he's a truck, driving around in a fantasy world. He has to do all his guild quests as a truck, running over goblins and whatnot. But, come to find out that all the monsters and bad-guy's he's been killing AS Truck-kun, are now getting reverse isekai'd back into his real world! DUN-DUN-DUNNNN!!

There is a Manga about someone driving a truck, whose job it is to run over people designated by God so the target can be Isekai'ed. In it, it is actually the trucks bumper that does it. When a cop pulls him over after seeing him hit someone, he rips the bumper off the truck and hits the cop with it, isekai'ing the cop.

many don't know this but truck-kun was popularized in the isekai genre by the mushoku tensei novel. mushoku tensei created a lot of tropes gor the isekai genre, thats one of the main reasons why mushoku tensei is called grandparent of isekai or whatever.

When the toy manufacturer dropped the toy tie-in for the show, the creator decided to get revenge by killing of the title character. She was brutally run over by a truck. It traumatized a generation of children and birthed truck-kun.

Fun fact I have been hit twice at crosswalks. Both times the car moved like an inch or 2 so no momentum and both times because me and the driver were looking away from each other. Now I start by looking left my more blind side; has not happened since. Sometimes your body acts before you can think. Still stupid to not always look for idiot drivers when crossing.
