The "all cello" sound is more intense than I thought it would be. It gives everything a much more ominous tone. I listened end to end and loved this. Extremely well done.
@andyghkfilm22877 жыл бұрын
Hector Lannibal The cello is so criminally underrated as a melody instrument, instead often being relegated to countermelody or bass lines that don't do the instrument the justice it deserves. I'd say this instrument and the French Horn are my favorite instruments that receive this treatment. You've just gotta love the fullness and richness of the sound.

Confession: I love John Williams. I am obsessed with Star Wars scores. The main theme in its 'crawl' variation is probably one of my least favorite pieces. It's just too brassy and garish for me (I do love some of the variations you hear in other places of the score). I mean, it's still great and iconic and high energy but there are about 100 pieces I like better.

Agreed. There's a tiny hint of Imperial March with the Funeral theme (similar to the RotS epilogue) but otherwise he picked more underrated pieces and I love it. Well, I guess aside from the Force Theme but...I can't imagine ever leaving that out. I love that for Across the Stars/Battle of the Heroes (which I guess admittedly are also pretty common) he played the lesser known bridges, not just the part everybody knows.
