Recorded live performance at San Luis Obispo Men's Colony, a prison.
This album is a beautiful example of Country music from the West Coast in the 1970s. It includes originals and cover tunes. This tape consisted of the tunes that would used on Side B of the LP.
Okie From Muskogee - Merle Haggard (0:17)
Star Dust - Hoagy Carmichael (4:13)
Green Green Grass Of Home - Curly Putman (7:23)
Crying' Time - Buck Owens (10:45)
I'll Be So Blue Tomorrow - Roy Sneed (13:54)
Just A Closer Walk With Thee - Public Domain (16:48)
I purchased original master tapes that belonged to Larry Petree, the pedal steel player in the recording. What you hear is a direct rip from the master tapes, with some editing to enhance the vocal+band balance, and some cleaning of original tape/equipment noise.
