Ese fue un grave error que afectó su carrera como solista; quiso romper con su pasado pop en lugar de aprovecharlo. Ahí fue cuando Justin Timberlake lo superó. El ex integrante de NSYNC sí aprovechó la línea pop que había manejado y condujo su carrera por ahí. Nick experimento, y falló. Pero por un lado está bien, así tenemos todavía a los Backstreet Boys juntos.
