I've always loved The Bad Seeds/Birthday Party/Grinderman and all things Cave related, but I'm a bit intimidated by trying to learn any of their guitar parts. Blixa and Roland were each such abstract players that relied more on texture and atmosphere than any sort of conventional "rock guitar" stylings. It's kinda hard to know where to begin with this stuff. You did an excellent interpretation of this, though, as usual!

Hey I'm pretty old too, but anyway I recommend checking out the album "The Boatman's Call" that opens with this song (although on piano). Nick has noisy stuff, but this album is very ballad-y and reflective and haunting.

Stumbled upon this channel just a few days ago. Found this video and quickly picked up my Telecaster and was playing my own version of this arrangement within an hour or so.
