that one hand on the hip n' tambourine vs tambourine move is so fucking boss!

Cool. Freue ich auf Sonntag! Nur diese neue Mode, dass Fans in den ersten Reihen neuerdings immer ihre Zeigefinger recken müssen, finde ich super seltsam und auch ein bisschen zum Fremdschämen.

Why?

@@francemary1863 Why? In youth language, this would be termed ‘cringe’ nowadays. Maybe it's also because it's got some really embarrassing connotation in Germany - it's really like a harsh criticism if someone or something is being described as using a "pointed index finger" ("erhobener Zeigefinger"). It's like dismissing someone's opinion when you describe them as saying something with a "pointed index finger" (you're saying the person acting like a "know-all" or "smart alec"). Also, as a child we learn never to point your finger towards anyone, and doing so when you repeat something that the pointed-at person says (or sings), has a really presumptuous connotation in European culture. So it's really weird that this has become a thing in rock concerts nowadays.

@@IJBiermann I think you are reading way too much into this

@@jez2466 Like I said, those are obviously just connotations. In short it's just cringe.
