About halfway into season 2 of Peaky Blinders and it hits me that more than their theme, this is Thomas Shelby's theme. My late ex-wife was reading a book called Paradise Lost by Milton... I was listening to a mix tape (remember those?) that a former Navy buddy sent me from Australia. It had the Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds on it. My wife heard it and freaked out! "The MAN with the Red Right Hand is a reference to GOD and his sure judgement!" I told her at first I thought it was a western kind of thing, but the band was from Australia. We both enjoyed the song and the music. The lyrics almost seem to speak of "him" as the devil. The lyrics were written by Nick and the band.
