i had been planning a video of nick for months now. i had a bunch of ideas for 3 or 4 different videos. and now i got to do it for the worst possible reason. it took me 4 days to edit this because i couldn't stop crying just looking at him. i have a lot of favorite characters, but i have never loved any of them the way i love nick.
since frank didn't attend wondercon and no one explained why, i had been saying nick was going to die, but i kept hoping it wouldn't really happen. i'm glad frank was the one who chose to leave, so at least he didn't get screwed over by the new showrunners, but i'll never be okay with the way they made things happen for nick. he could've died at the dam, on his own terms, not afraid of dying and at peace. but no, they had to make him suffer for two long years and make him go out of his mind just to die a painful and horrible death at the hands of a child he tried so hard to help and to protect.
if there was ever anyone who deserved to be happy, to be at peace and to live a good life, it was nick.
anyways, i'll just never be okay. hope you enjoy the video. xx

One of the characters that mirrored me the most ever, I stopped watching the series at the episode of his death ... Every now and then I go and look on KZbin for a video tribute to this masterpiece created and destroyed badly in my opinion, too bad .. It will remain always in my heart and in a corner in my head, with the knowledge that both the actor (who played him) and the character himself gave me emotions that I had never felt for a TV series, hello nick ❤️

I read the description first and was already crying before i watched it and now i'm crying even more. I watched s1 as it aired but never continued and just picked it up again. I finished s3 and heard that s4 takes place after s8 so I binged s7 and s8 of TWD before continuing and I watched ep3 (and already knew what was going to happen so kinda wasn't super invested) but I finished it and wanted to flip a table and just rage quit. I don't think I can continue Fear with what they did to Nick (and Troy but Nick's final scene with the flowers especially hurts). I also just don't understand why they had to do that. Kill him that way. Ofc my ideal would've been for Nick to go off on his own (eventually find out that wow Troy is still alive!!!) and just be off the show in case Frank ever changed his mind... but since they killed him, the dam really would've been perfect. He deserved to go out on his own terms. Not gunned down by a little girl... ugh... I think that upsets me the most out of Nick dying, is the WAY he died.

omg i don't know why i only saw this now, i'm so so sorry! but i wholeheartedly agree with everything! i always say that - especially because i know it was frank's choice to leave the show - that what hurts me the most isn't the fact that he died per se, is THE WAY that he died, specially when they had the perfect opportunity to set his death up at the end of the s3 finale and they already knew frank wanted to leave by then so it could've been done. i hate it so much. and the new showrunners said they wanted to send nick off in the most emotional way possible, so basically, it was purely for shock value so they could be "praised" as these "innovative" and "daring" showrunners when, in reality, they suck and ruined the show. now they announced troy will be back for s5 and all i can hope is that he's going to be back in althea's tapes or a flashback or something. if he's alive while nick isn't, imma flip my shit.

At the beginning he got up, opened his eyes, and experienced a chao, deadly world then finally his journey ended up with a peaceful scene when he laid down, rested on the ground of bluebonnet flowers( be honest I think nick's death probably the most beautious death in the show) :)

natalia romanova i definitely agree. If he died at the dam it would be a much better way for him to go and an ending he deserves. I'm really angry at this decision. If he was there for half of a season I'd get it but he died in the 3rd episode? That's seriously messed up

LiFaAn and from the interviews, it seems frank asked to leave when he found out dave was leaving, so he most likely wanted nick's arc to end on s3, that way. they had the perfect set up to send him off the way nick deserved, but they just had to ruin everything. disappointed but not surprise, honestly.
