Wes Montgomery March 6, 1923 / June 15, 1968 was an American jazz guitarist. He is widely considered one of the major jazz guitarists influencing George Benson, Kenny Burrell, Grant Green, Jimi Hendrix, Pat Metheny, Lee Ritenour, and countless others.

Wes really influenced a lot of jazz musicians. Very nice!

Yes; Wes was ahead of his time bringing the guitar to the forefront in jazz orchestras and of course in small ensembles.
