That F-ing combo vs Cyborg made me spill my beer all over my sofa watching live. Thinking to myself he looked like a middle schooler in comparision of the brazilian.

I call it the DBMPC for Diaz Brothers Master Piece Combo, both Nick and Nate have successfully pieced up several mfers each with it, and it’s glorious every time lol the trigger for it is when they have a guy up against the fence and they have octagon control or momentum on their side so the opponent is in a defensive state of mind, there’s a bit of freestyle to set it up by touching them up up top so they hold both hands in full guard up position, but it always ends the same, as soon as hands are up against their head to defend headshots, they start firing body shots like the sprint portion of a tibatta drill on the heavy bag, sometimes it only takes 2-3 or up to 6-8 body shots, just throwing 5,6,5,6 etc in rapid succession while they keep their head near the opponents chest or head so it’s too close for an effective counter, whilst more importantly they’re eye level with the opponent’s chin meaning they can see they’re hands come into their peripheral vision the moment they drop the guard to go to block body shots, and at that exact moment they immediately switch from throwing 5’s & 6’s to the body, and go to 3’s & 4’s to the head without a single change in rhythm. And the reason I call it a masterpiece is because in the art of striking it’s so basic, so simple (threaten the head, attack the body when they protect the head, then while they start to defend the body they open up the head for the kill shot) but the way they execute it is so beautiful and I’ve literally never seen anyone stop Nick or Nate from leading them right into the trap. It’s the same general combo Nate finished Maynard with after he realized he was hurt and had him up against the fence in their 3rd fight, Maynard was on Queer Street already but Nate hit him with the masterpiece and right as he finished the combo with a solid 3,4 to the head that’s where the ref stopped it and Maynard tried to stumble to his corner and fallls over IMO these Diaz combos make some of the most iconic highlight clips in UFC history

I have always loved watching them ,as I see Nick get older , he has become a big brother to alot of the guys around him and and the love he has for his brother , I think he has lost a little bit of the way he used to get himself mad preparing and fighting , Alot of us have went thru it with having a family and kids , its not that we cant take charge of a situation ,but its a little harder to get in that red zone ith age , where we controlled it much easier when younger , always wishing them the best
