This is the episode we find out about another of Nick's(Grimm's) Powers. The ability to be wounded by a Wesen using a special natural weapon. When healed, the Grimm will sometimes manifest a racial ability or special resistance of that Wesen. Nick is wounded by the Bee Wesen and obtains Super Hearing. This is never explained just my own thoughts as a big fan.

i always thought Nick messed up in this episode by killing the queen, the Mellifers are traditionally allies to the Grimms and he burnt that bridge

They still hadn't`t figured out everything as the Mellifers-Hexenbiest isn't explored further and Grimm are seen as boogeymen by the wesen community in general so it would make little sense for these to be different.

This is the ONLY episode where Hexenbiests and Mellifers have this innate rivalry. Since Hexenbiests and up becoming super central to the overall plot this is a bit of a shame :( the birthmark under the Hexenbiests tongue is never revisited either :(

I feel like because Nick killed the Queen, he lost all the connection to Mellifers as allies, which is one of the reasons why this was their only appearance in my opinion. At least writers could have waited with that a bit. Mellifers had so much potential for Grimm storyline since they were supposed to be allies to grimms and were since the show focused quite a bit on hexenbiests, the rivalry between them would be such so interesting to watch.

Pretty sure Wu is a sergeant for uniformed officers. Last I checked, a detective sergeant and a uniformed sergeant are 2 different ranks.

Detective sgt and a patrol sgt are the same rank so wu does technically outrank nick and hank but he will likely be differing to them due to their investigative experience so will be taking more of an assistive role

I replied to a similar comment on another video. It is a Hollywood necessity. Shooting in that small of a space is impossible. The steadicam would hit the ceiling, and the boom mike would always be in the shot. (Think Ransom with Mel Gibson, when the boom op let the mike fall into frame and neither the director of photography nor the editor caught it).
