The thing with Nick is, he is very self-conscious, but not self-aware. He is very insecure, and he appears to be looking for reasons to try to give his chat a little life lesson every time someone does something he dislikes. His problem is that he overthinks everything as a result of his insecurity, but then gets mad when people clip farm him. If you are a highly reactive person, your reactions will be noted and often laughed at. I appreciate nicks attempts to stand on his own ground and be “his own man,” so to speak, but at the same time, you heard the kids voice, he’s just trying to make conversation, and was just tying to find a topic. Nick is very self-centered in his streams, and as a result, impairs his own social abilities, as shown with his icon skin, when he got it, he freaked out and was super excited, but then was acting so weird about it that the initial hype it generated died out because Nick took it too far. At the end of the day, the kid apologized, explaining that he had no ill will and was just trying to start a conversation, and instead of understanding and moving on from that, he doubled down and started tearing into him, accusing him of clip farming and trying to get his 5 seconds of fame, without once thinking about the fact that he is alienating anyone who might want to be engaged with him, and still gets mad when people call him cringe or a man child. Even with his age he gets super defensive, when nobody really cares, and then tries to spin the situation like it’s a personal attack on him, when nobody actually minds how old he is, but just wants him to act his age. The way I see it is there's faults on both sides. Nick's content is tailored for a very specific audience and anyone outside that group would find it and him a bit "odd".
