The name on the desk in those cutscenes was ‘John Jones’ (jonesy?). One of Midas’s noises that he made (like henchmen sounds, not in the event, just throughout the season) sounds like he says “John, did I tell you?”. Midas and jonesy know each other and that’s probably who he was on the phone to. Obviously jonesy is from chapter 1, and he mentions something about a loop on the phone, I think the loop refers to the black hole/ the zero point, so these are massive hints at the old map coming back. I don’t really know but something seems fishy 😂

My theory: Midas is going to use his device again to break the storm that is holding back the water and flood the map

The theory rn is that the world is a simulation to train for save the world. Midas became a bit more aware and wanted to stop the storm for some reason. He teleported to the real world several times while controlling the device as Cyclo. The storm didn't react as planned and became water but it isn't stable. So when it destabilizes it will probably flood the map.

This event closed the loop!!! Theory Hear me out. We know from previous seasons that map changes and things like that just happen out of thin air. New weapons come and everything. But where do they come from? They just get added!! Fortnite is a simulation that is controlled by Jonesy and the other people in the offices we saw today. This would explain why the visitor needed to build a rocket to get out of the map, same with the mecha team leader and the visitors. They are basically crews that come in and fix the map or make stiff equal agin we players try to change it. For example the visitors needed to stop the meteor when we tempered with the zero point. This caused is to mess with the code and create and alter net universe. Midas, From what we know Midas is just a rich guy that pulled up to the map on day. He is a character like everyone else except he came for other reasons. He had planned to create a device that would mess with the games code and cause the game to glitch. That is why we were randomly teleporting in and out of the simulation. Jonesy is the mastermind behind all of this. This explains why he is so surprised to see us in his office we are supposed to be in a simulation and not be able to hear him (This prolly makes zero sense but it’s a theory)

Theory: Midas was losing control of the storm and you can see it was fighting back and Jonesy was saying something about stabilizing something(I assume he was talking about storm),I think they stabilized it by adding water to the storm to save everyone(They wanted to save everyone because Jonesy had a ghost mug on his desk and Ghost are the good guys), Eventually the storm will become unstable and the water in the storm will flood a part of the map.
