The reason the hawks only look "good" against playoff teams is because the vets are auditioning for spots on those teams. When playing non playoff teams the vets don't care.

The hawks tanked so hard to get Bedard that a culture of losing has been so ingrained in the team. It’s going to be a long painful road to cleanse out the stink. Let’s hope it doesn’t destroy Bedard in the process

What the fuck? Did you even see them play the last part of the season before winning the lottery? They were actually playing good. They defended Pittsburgh 4-1 when the penguins were chasing a wild card and we did that too other teams as well that last month of that season. Plus if it wasn’t the Hawks winning the lottery it would have been the Canucks because we would had the 11th pick if Van didn’t drop. That’s not taking that’s just a little bit of luck from the lottery. Also Bedard has been playing well. Nazar is in the NHL and Dach as well. The record may not be what we want but it’s the young players that we should look forward too.

Wasn't the season they got Bedard not as worse as the last two seasons? We still had Kane and Toews and they played hard to the end, even eliminated the Pens from the playoffs. They ended up with the 3rd pick but won the lottery. I would say the culture changed after that season

@@GermanyHawksfan I don’t know if we even have a culture yet. Yeah it was amazing to win the lottery and draft Connor but even getting players like Nick and Dickinson and the players we got last season. They kept saying that we need a winning culture but we weren’t winning. I think next season we’re going to have more players from Rockford to play in the NHL and make an impact right away. They may be young but they have more speed then having vets that are in their mid 30s. They would be more hungrier than the players this year and that is going to start a culture. Hopefully.

@@GermanyHawksfanYeah because of the lottery but they were still pretty darn bad. The last year I think people forget how bad it was. While our record is similar this team plays much better just using the eye test and GPG etc.
