I'm not suggesting that WADA has always handled drug testing procedures flawlessly with every player. However, in this case, the investigation and outcome seemed to be handled responsibly. The argument that past inconsistencies justify future mismanagement is flawed-just because something has been done inconsistently doesn't mean it should continue that way. While Novak Djokovic also expressed concerns and understands why players have questions about this case, his approach was constructive and professional, unlike the ignorance and bad faith displayed by Nick and Denis. One thing I neglected to mention in the video when comparing Sinner’s case to Simona Halep's is that Sinner’s team was transparent, even publicly revealing the exact amount of Clostebol found in his system. In Halep's case, she only stated it was a "very small amount," of Roxadustat and I couldn’t find specific numbers. I believe this is due to WADA regulations, which may prevent organizations from publicly disclosing the precise amount of banned substances found in a player's system. If anyone watching this video can confirm this or provide further insight into why these details aren't always shared with the public, it would be helpful.

As far as I understand it, Simona Halep's case was way more complex than Sinner's. The drug was different - clostebol is a weak AAS, whereas roxadustat can potentially be a pretty effective PED - and the Halep's team initially did not know where the drug came from. Halep also had abnormal values in her biological passport, which is a pretty serious offence in itself, even in the absence of a positive antidoping test. Halep's legal team produced an enormous amount of material which had to be rewiewed in full by the ITIA, which took it forever. The full decision from the ITIA is available online, just be prepared to set aside some time to go through that.

@@Sobchak2 Excellent summary, I wish i included that context in the video. There is a stark difference between how each of these teams handled the situation and that alone says a lot.

This is Nick Kyrgios who plead guilty for beating up his girlfriend. He's the definition of excrement. Of course he hates class and dignity that Sinner brings

Great point, I wish I included this perspective.

Kyrios is a fool...he needs to be controversial to keep his name in the media to help his OnlyFans as thats his source of income now... Shapa is jealous coz hes fallen off and can barely win a match on tour and is now playing challengers coz he cant even get into 250 main draws

Finally, someone who addresses all the silly objections, like "values could've been higher before the test." It's all very clear, we have all the necessary info on this case, but I guess people would rather smear Sinner's name than wait for their favorite player to beat him fair and square on the court (something that looks increasingly unlikely). Thank you for the video, you've got yourself a new subscriber.

Even if you strip away all the details, all you need to do is know the character and integrity of a person and you know the likely outcome. Tennis is in a good place with Alcaraz and Sinner who are both individuals of high moral character. Thanks for watching 👋

Fair analisys and I totally agree with you

Pretty much agree on all accounts. i think Sinner is innocent of any intentional wrongdoing. Shapovalov is impulsive and has trouble regulating his emotions and he lacks patience in his game and tries to be a shotmaker which he is but will not get him far against top players consistently. Kyrgios is just not a good person, not much more to say than that.

It's my understanding that the loss of points and prize money are being appealed. This has happened before successfully and I'd like to see it happen this time since a person who's found innocent should not be punished. I can understand if the amount in his system was performance enhancing because it would mean he had help, but that didn't happen. I hope their appeal is successful. I also think the key word in this whole debacle is 'responsible'. Sinner was found to not be responsible for the contamination which is why he found innocent. The two boneheads you're discussing are irresponsible people who can't be bothered with facts but don't let that stop them from seeking the attention they crave. And if NK thinks Sinner should be banned for something he didn't do, maybe he should've ended up in prison for abuse he admitted he did.

One billionth of a gram is called nanogram (ng), not a picogram (pg). A picogram is a thousandth of a billionth of a gram. In both tests, 8 days apart from each other, Sinner's levels were ~ 80 pg.
@TK-Tennis2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the correction, I confirmed this is accurate. Nonetheless, it does not change that it's an incredibly low level and could not have any impact on performance, as it would require a dose "millions of times higher than 180 picograms". "Clostebol is an anabolic steroid used to promote muscle growth and improve athletic performance, but effective doses are typically in the milligram (mg) range (millions of times higher than 180 picograms)"

Problem is this excuse has been used by italian athletes before some claim reference of petting a dog paloetti and rumors that the drug can mask other drugs. So it really is not about the story the lawyer came with it is about whether this story is true or just explaining away the truth and that there seem to be a lot of clostebol stories in italian sports.

I actually like the mispronunciation of shapos name because it really drives home how big of a disaster his career has been. All the talent in the world not a single brain cell to put it to use tho

100%. Pronouncing their names properly shows respect, for which I have none for Shapo and therefore I could not care less.

Would ypu also feverishly defend the poor player who was handed 4 year suspension for the same amount of the same substance? Do you care about fairness for other players?
@TK-Tennis2 ай бұрын
Maybe, depends on the level of transparency of the circumstances. I read about the story of Stefano Battaglino today, but what the article or he himself did not seem mention the specific amount found. He failed to say exactly how much Closetebol he was tested for.
@Sobchak22 ай бұрын
How do you know it is the same amount? As far as I can see this information is not in the sentence published by the itia. Also, in Battaglino's case the physio guy who allegedly made this mistake refused to testify. On top of that, Clostebol is not available as an over the counter medication in Morocco, so it is hard to tell where that came from. You can read both rulings from the ITIA website and decide by yourself whether these two cases are really similar or not.

Uh, you should learn to pronounce the names. It doesn't matter where the drug came from. Stick to the program.

I could care less about proper pronunciation, that's reserved for people who earn that respect.
