I was there that day. The best game of tennis I’ve ever seen! It was a privilege, especially because it was the last time anyone got to see Dominic Thiem in his prime. He was never the same after this because of injuries. Unbelievable player ❤

@@timr8456 With a stepback now we know this tournament was the beginning of the end of his career, he even admit in an interview that he shouldn't have gone to OA 2021 just after US open and atp finals 2020 he was mentally and physically exhausted instead he would have prefer to take months off to get battery full. And with this in mind look at thiem behavior it was a bit strange sometimes, a lack of energy from his standard !

To me it’s an utter disrespect to put Kyrgios in the thumbnail when thiem worked so hard to beat a difficult opponent on top of that plus almost everyone in stadium rooting for Kyrgios. It’s thiem’s match and moment that needs to be celebrated and cherished. Also thiem retired it was more than ever that it’s important to at least pay tribute by putting him in the thumbnail. But what do people like you understand?

Never seen such a sudden change of momentum in a match. After winning the first two sets, Kyrgios's level suddenly fell off a cliff, most probably because of his lack of fitness.
