Of course we're never gonna get Pink Floyd again, but Nick did something I always wanted from the band - relive the amazing wealth of material from their early years. PF will always be burdened with having to play the hits they made later in their careers, and a project like this allows the ever-amazing Nick Mason to relive the old days without being pressured to play Another Brick in the Wall or Money for the umpteenth time. I mean PF hardly played much of this stuff when they were still together as a band! Bless this man and the band.

Agreed. The Early Years are my favorite. I love the DSOTM and after too, stuff too, but Piper through Meddle has amazing stuff, with Pompeii being the pinnacle.

I agree but I do count Dark Side as early PF, the jam they use to do on Any colour you like in 73-74 was insane jammed for 8-9 minutes. Would love Nick to bring that one to the set list.

In 80's, Nick Mason's drumming had became lazy and boring. Now, I'm very glad to see a true drummer who is 76 years old backing to the stage! He is drumming like what he did in 70's! Fantastic!

It was a lovely surprise to me, to see NM and his troupe playing only Pink Floyd songs before the Cow album! The mostly, songs that we never hear on stage by PF for decades, and think they will be left on the pass forever. Great, great surprise, have weeks I am hearing this show every day!

Check out shows from David Gilmour's 'On An Island' tour. He did a tribute to Syd every night. Several different songs both form the Floyd as well as solo material. There are a few official releases including great shows from Poland and London as well as a single of 'Arnold Layne' with David Bowie on vocals.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING!!!! I was at this show. THE SOUND WAS HYPNOTIC. At the end of "Set The Controls" (1:17) It was TOTALLY QUIET in the theater while the band tripped us all out with noise.... and some guy in the way back just screamed out, "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!" - We all cheered. Can't wait for them to go around again. This "Set The Controls" is better than w/ Roger, so I was totally ok w/ it. =)

Well the first thing Nick did was to hire bass player master and comedian Guy Pratt....Such a beast on the bass...Just listen to P.U.L.S.E....Or "Toy Matinee", or "Third Matinee"....Or the countless sessions he did with Michael Jackson,Madonna,and all the others....His comedy act is also brilliant...This sounds refreshing and was done with taste...Wish i Was There...Pun intended...
