Nick Nelson Series Part 2 1967 Peterbilt w/ Outlaw Sleeper

Every old truck has stories to tell, and Nick's needle nose Pete has it in spades! This beauty was his first vintage truck and at only 20 years old he put it to work, continuing the truck's legacy. He shared photos from the 70s & 80s of the different iterations his machine went through.
Between its frame rails is an NTA 400 Cummins and 13 speed transmission. Wheelbase is at 270” and the truck sports a few I modern upgrades but its mostly “era correct”. Dig that “outlaw bunk” made from two Kenworth sleepers skinned together in the 70’s.
Any conversation with Nick is always a treat, but to capture it on film and and get a close-up tour of the flagship in his gorgeous fleet was the chance of a lifetime. He even let me drive it!!! I challenge anyone to find a cooler guy or truck anywhere, and I'm blessed to call him my friend and brother in Christ. Peace & grease

There we go! I love those ol' needle nose, butterfly hooded Petes. I've been planning an RV...the typical trucker's dream RV and the cab and front clip would be perfect for it. I'm not gonna buy and deface a survivor, but there are still quite a few cabs and whatnot available in the "dry" states. I'm in Nova Scotia and we don't have a lot of vintage survivor or even parts trucks that could fill the bill heh, heh. The pinstriping is fantastic, it totally makes the truck. My two favourite colours are black and chrome and I like 'em both to be shiny but some cool, subtle pinstripes might just complete the look I'm goin' for. That's a wicked cool Peterbilt, thanks to you and the owner for showin' 'er off a bit for us. Keep 'er between the ditches with the shiny side up and keep on keepin' on.

@@thesteelcowboy1621 I'll have to dig around but i know there is a picture i took when Len first brought the truck into the shop and started stripping the paint off, I remember he used aircraft striper and a putty knife and scrached the shit out of it, took a while to get that straightened out!

The trailer brake is bottom of the dash right of the wheel. The old flip lever style not a red push button. Not legal anymore since it doesn't pop when air gets low.
