Rekieta is obviously coming off drugs/alcohol. Some illicit substances like meth can sometimes take months to totally get out of the system. The user+abusing drugs/alcohol/philanderer Nick is way, WAY different than the sober/fidelity Nick. Two separate people. Basically, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde personas. A lot of the general public, who have never had friends/family who got addicted to substances, don't understand "odd" or "unrepentant" behavior. The reason I have this opinion: my younger sister became addicted to meth/opiates/alcohol in high school (to stay thin as a cheerleader 💯) then had trouble with the legal system until she served 16 months in prison for repeatedly violating her probation. She's been sober now for 5 years. She had an addiction for almost 20 years. It was truly awful dealing with her and her constant dishonesty. This situation will either help Nick get his life together or he'll continue his addiction to illicit substances, alcohol, and philandering. It's Nick's choice. His friends and family need to prepare for both choices.

The charges were already made, it's very unlikely he's under active investigation. If he was under active investigation they wouldn't have filed the charges until it was done. So yes it's risky for him to score drugs because if he does get caught it'll be an immediate revocation of bail but I doubt very much he's being monitored by law enforcement in any systemic way.

Fact probably half the people that score drugs on any given day have pending drug cases in the court system. The consequences of getting caught are much higher because it would be an immediate revocation of bail but the odds that law enforcement is paying extra attention to him are pretty much nil. Cases like this are a dime a dozen for them and there's hundreds of them from the last month alone I'm sure. They just don't have the resources to follow around any single person with an act of drug case. If anything it would make more sense for them to be investigating people that don't recognize their under a cloud has suspicion

I don't think it matters if he is still using, the truth is they should never have given that bail condition order in the first place because it's basically a death sentence. People can die from withdrawals if they are cut off suddenly. The body has become dependent on it, so it needs time to wean off it. It takes up to four weeks for coke to get out of your system, and about twelve weeks for alcohol to get our of your system. If he's suddenly cut off from it, he could die.

Nick is still awesome to watch. I kind of like him sober. I wish the best for him and his family personally I'm upset and angry at Nick. But want him to make a full legal and otherwise social and health recovery and kick any addictions. Will it happen? Who knows. It's up to Nick to some degree. Up to the legal system and general views as well. I don't have any malice against Nick hope he is able to make a full recovery. I do not want it to go back to to the way it has been in the last 5 months. But a year ago... sure.

So many idiots - any person with a bunch of judgment and speculation would find it very hard not to speak up for themselves at all. All these people assume they were there somehow - and if the arrest cop cams come out they will see a disheveled house (ya the guy was drinking a lot and stuff) the house will be a mess - still does not prove heavy abuse/neglect. A lot of people get high and say stupid stuff, many parents slip and have struggles that affect the kids (we are all human). Hang in there Nick and get sober - long road but you CAN DO THIS. The road continues on past here - just make sure you are on the right one.
