Some radio shows, and local media share stories about the money he's brought the state and the city of Tuscaloosa. Some reports I've overheard say he provides $13 for every $1 paid to his salary.
@docsoloman65216 жыл бұрын
Estimates in Tuscaloosa (population 100K) is that thanks to Saban, each Alabama home games profits the city $11 million. It is not widely talked about outside of Tuscaloosa, but since the terrible tornado in 2011, Terry and Nick Saban have been enormous community patrons to the city, both personal time wise and financial. They are constantly helping the less fortunate. A small example.At Christmas, they send someone into Wal-Mart and give away who knows how many $50 gift cards to strangers, without saying from who.Incredible people.

The general public/Saban/Bama haters are clueless as to what Coach Saban does for charitable organizations (worthy organizations); hospitals (especially Children's Hoapitals); camps for underprivileged youths; Veterans support groups; educational programs; etc. That list goes on and on, AND ON AND ON. Few hear about what all he does, because he isn't interested personal glory. To say that Coach Saban is incredibly generous would be the understatement of the century. Haters hate.....and they always will. The word "hate" cannot be found in his vocabulary. He is not a bigot and does not tolerate bigotry. Racial, and religious, bias have no place in his presence. Simply put, Coach Saban is a generous, kind, gentleman, who is a motivator beyond compare. He is a private man who loves his family. He is NOT a "media darling" which makes him more appealing to many fans. Of course it makes him a favorite target for much of the media.

There are some very delusional people here commenting on how the football team pays for scholarships, helps the Tuscaloosa economy, helps fund the school, blah blah blah. Alabama is one of the poorest States in the US and Tuscaloosa is one of the poorest Boroiughs in Alabama. Sure, they pump some money into the economy, but they take out a lot too. My cousin teaches in Tuscaloosa and she's constantly on social media trying to raise money for her students...she doesn't understand the hype about the program either and as she explains it: If they're pumping all this money into the town and the State, why are the Teachers in the State some of the lowest paid in the country? My school (Penn State) doesn't need the football program to operate nor could it help run the school (operating budget of over $4 Billion), so when people make the same argument here, I merely give them hard numbers and the conversation dies down...I'm sure the same happens at Bama when objective individuals talk about the University vs the football program's revenues and budgets.

Recruiting parity will be the great equalizer, regarding Saban's future success. I say this because as other schools get more and more great players, HIS LOSES ARE GOING TO INCREASE. Yes, he is a great coach, but even if his IQ was 200, HE CAN'T PLAY A DOWN OF FOOTBALL. No, the majority of his success has been mainly off the backs of his players, many of whom are black. Actually, he should be purchasing a lifetime membership to the naacp and constantly be singing " Black is Beautiful", because THAT and not his football acumen has been the main reason for his success. Want proof? Just look at the teams that beat him, they don't just eck by, they usually hand him his HAT. As more and more 5 star athletes, go to other schools, Bama's loses will increase.

The accomplishments of the things of this world won't be important in Heaven it will be how many souls have you won to Christ while here on earth. Jesus said we are not to love the things of this world. It can cause you to love the god of this world (satan). Most Christian's dont even know Jesus because they dont want to know Him is why they dont read their bibles. @Cedric Mclellan.The NCAA is the reason that college athletes aren't getting paid.The U.S. professional athletes couldn't participate in the Olympics because they were paid athletes.But all other countries could use their professional athletes except the U.S. They got away with it for many years,but it had to change.Congress has been discussing the issue about college athletes getting compensated for the millions of dollars they make for colleges and universities athletic programs.Congress idea is that each athlete should be given a salary.That all colleges and universities salaries would be the same so that the wealthiest colleges and universities couldn't buy all the best athletes.I think it's a good idea because it's the athletes that plays the games.They deserve to be compensated for their hard work and dedication to their school's athletic programs.They get injuries just like the pro athletes.

I agree totally but let me put this out there. I am not going to put her or hers Dads name out there. Hell someone might burn their trees or shoot them. There is no telling what they might do. My Dad friends with him. Him and my Dad were best friends and my Dad did said his ulegoy at his funeral. It was hard for my Dad. He was a big big Bama friend with my Dad taking him to every game he could or had the strength to go. Although my Dad is a BIG Auburn fan and we have a divided family. My point is this. His daughter went to school there at University of Alabama. She transferred and then went to Auburn since she was going to be a Vet. Now she was an Alabama fan too. When she left there and came to Auburn she loved it there. She said Auburn was just beautiful and she told us maybe Nick is a great coach but he was not good to anyone. A lot of people even hated him. He was not someone who cared for his family and he wasn't a great coach by the way he treated the players. But as we all know he has no emotion at the games expect for anger. She is still an Alabama fan. But says unless you go to the school and have been there long term you can't say anything he is not a good to the team and not the fans or anyone for that matter. That I know. But I know for a fact. Not a lot of people like Tuscaloosa. Shit all we hear is excuses for them still all the time. I can only imagine what he says to the team in the locker room when the lose. Shut the fuck Nick and have some respect for people. That is also why they don't care for his family either! So yeah praise him up. But I am not saying he isn't a good coach but I damn sure wouldn't treat my family and my players like he does so for that he is a person that has no heart for people
