Strange how venue knowledge played tricks with you. To a anglers with no knowledge of water, I and sure many others would have been rubbing their hands once they realised that island was in reach. Always had to hold some fish, big open water and feature less, your always hoping for fish to turn up, or your cast has found a underwater feature and that your bait is presented right. Imho. Great fishing and good luck in 2021👍👏👏

Fished that peg in an open not long after they’d reopened the lake and it was all over the place depth wise across, has it levelled itself out a bit now? It were literally 6” different where ever you dropped the plummet in😁

Section win! Good for keeping the spirits up for round 2 (if it happens). I always like to glimpse the black swans ay Lindholme. All that shooting and you still stood up at the end. Oh, and was that Fairies ware boots playing on your stereo? Love a bit of Sabbath. Well, happy new year Nick.

Hi Nick. Any thoughts on why the left was better on the day? I know you are to your thermoclines but have often wondered what happens when wind hits little islands and what it doesnt underneath as a result. Anyway lovely fishing. Cheers

It was all to do with exactly what i spoke about mate looking back....because the left hand side of the island was in an area where’s there’s a lesser expanse of water, this meant that the fish feel safer where there’s the cover...also float presentation on the left was far better than on the right
