Addiction is pretty sick and doesn’t discriminate. I know a guy who had a heart attack from heroine was revived at the hospital, after allegedly being clinically deceased for 2 minutes. As soon as he left the hospital probably less than an hour later, because addicts need the fixer. He shoot’s up in the parking lot of the hospital and overdosed again which caused a stroke. He’s alive but disabled and claims he doesn’t use H anymore.

As a medsurge RN, can confirm he 100% would have died had he just gone to his hotel and went to bed instead of to the urgent care. Necrotic pancreatitis leading to sepsis is a sure way to crash, fast. I'm surprised he wasn't in horrible pain and vomiting up everything he ate or drank for weeks before that point.
@TheFartofGod2 жыл бұрын
Do you by any chance know what the urgent care lady may have noticed (possible visible symptoms?) looking at him that would make her call an ambulance right off the bat?
@stevepolychronopoulis2 жыл бұрын
She had no idea it was exactly that, she just knew that with the symptoms he was describing, there was a really strong chance it was something they couldn't diagnose at a walk-in clinic, and he signs of sepsis are pretty clear. He needed blood draws and a CT scan to diagnose that, but a guy comes in with inability to keep fluids down, severe abdominal pain, and I'm sure his blood pressure was low and he probably had a fever, tachycardia, etc. - he clearly had some kind of infection, and likely an abdominal organ. Could have been anything from gallstones to liver failure, but what he had was a death sentence if untreated immediately.

If u knew what pancreatitis is, is which he doesnt have (since he’s a movie star in a downward spiral of his stardom Aka hasn’t hit a premier in decades) it, it happens because he would never be able to drink cause your body can’t process alcohol since it will go straight to your blood stream instead of digesting this guy is funny but a lil too dramatic
