@@shangrila73eldorado 47 is slow. You have to have 45 low to mid speed as a TOP 800m runner. If you want that consistent 1:42. 47 is good enough for 1:44,1:45 any race.

he does look inefficient with his torso motion but if you look at his legs he has an amazing stride, especially compared to the other guys in the last video they all look like they're sprinting already while he's just kicking into high gear

Should be fine. The 800 is one of the most brutally painful running events in Track and Field. If you’ve never collapsed at the end of one, you haven’t truly tested your limits.
