Awesome wrenches - the tight access could save you a LOT of time and keep you from rounding out the fastener as well 👍

Hey Nick, is it possible you can post a video about how to grease these or repair them? The gears in mine are getting pretty rough and I don’t want to take one apart in case I can’t put it back together lol

Most of my Snap On spanners and sockets are now redundant. The spanners are all inch and the sockets are double hex which I refuse to use these days. Still using my 30 year Snap On 3/8 drive pear head ratchet and my 3/8 Snap On breaker bar which has been replaced twice in its 30 years of duty. Which country is Blue Point made these days?
@topherd10113 жыл бұрын
USA and Taiwan from my understanding.

@@topherd1011 If Blue Point range were made in the USA, they would be the same price as Snap On due to labour costs. It bemuses me that there are listings for new Snap On on ebay also asking high prices. The Snap On on ebay don't have the lifetime warranty so much devalued.

@@johnbeck5795 Some BluePoint tools are made in USA. Also, ALL SnapOn tools carry a lifetime warranty. Even if puschased used. I have had SnapOn tools replaced that I bought used.

I love snap on and I'm a snap on snob but these ratcheting spanners are worst iv ever bought 10mm 15mm 18mm 19mm always getting replaced the teeth are too weak and the plate screws always falling out I upgraded from older version to these wish I didn't I cant wait for the new version to come out so I can replace all of them on warranty 6mm to 19mm

could you tell us the part number for the hand light on the bench beside you?

I have a slightly different version, but the one I have is CTLSH861 and I have to say, it's different, but with a magnetic base on the 14.4v battery, I love this thing and it's currently my brightest light. When I bought it, the tip light stopped working and I had to sent it out for warranty (they lost it and it took 3 months to get back) but ever since then it has done a fantastic job with no issues. The one in the video appears to be ECARC041

They’ll cost you a lot … but damn are they wonderful. They have literally no flex in them at all, and their profile is so thin in comparison to others on the market that they really do fit in very hard to reach areas. They also make a great open end wrench. It will NOT round off a bolt. The tolerances are THAT great.

Those teeth on the open end damage the fasteners. Working on classic vehicles this is unacceptable so I had to sell all of my Flank Drive Plus.

These things might be expensive but they’ll last a lifetime. I have literally tried to break one.. and by hand- it cannot be done. Edit: I KNOW some of the first ones made had some problems but Snap On will make it right if you have some of those first batches.

Too thick for me and always rounding shit off. I’m actually pretty pissed off at Gearwrench. I expected better. Bit the bullet and bought these. I do not regret it. You can’t tell the difference until you get them in your hands. I swear by them.

Find a Snap On truck with this prop and bring your ratcheting wrenches and watch them not fit.
@RedShiftedDollar2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, why can't the open end turn the nut!? What a BS demonstration. All of the wrenches had an open end and all of them could have turned the nut. Plus if the snap on box end doesn't fit, and it's solid metal, the ratcheting box end is smaller and probably a lot weaker. If you really want to use serious force and get away with it when all other wrenches will round off or fail, stick with the regular flank drive plus.
