The palm .. more than half the moves he made were because of his ability to palm the ball .. lost arts of this game!!
@hassanigourna9 жыл бұрын
+Nate Seymour I noticed that too. Must have had some big ass hands.
@anotherday69859 жыл бұрын
+Kadim Nana Definately.. and he scored the ball. A lot of players can palm like that, idk. Iverson couldn't really palm a ball, but he nearly created the palming violation. The ability to palm the ball on the offensive end is completely underrated. Even defensively, the dimensions it brings to a players game is undeniable. If Jordan could not palm a ball, his logo would not exist, and he would not be "Jordan" as we know him.
@anotherday69859 жыл бұрын
+Mick Jagger Definitely. Kobe's inability to use that ability of palming does create a debate of which athlete is the better of the two. Though you also cannot argue the basketball IQ of Jordan. There are a lot of people who have desk jobs who can palm a basketball. The ability to use that in an improvised manner during a 24 second play is not something just any person can do. Very similar to the fade away, and mid range jumper from a guard in this league. It becomes lost when the coach frowns upon it. Who really eats off of the mid range game anymore? Three starters in the whole league? Footwork, everything, the game is being coached down imo. To a 'catch and shoot' 'pick and pop' off the dribble pull up game. Van Exel played point guard as a point guard. Westbrook, and half the other elite points in the league are shooting guards. Basically, simple fundamentals are being left out of coaching methods to score more, and do it quicker. I was lucky to watch Shaq play, because the center position is now lost due to lack of correct coaching. There are 6'8 players who cannot handle a ball coming straight out of highschool, because the coach does not care about fundamentals. One dribble moves. No multiple fakes, no footwork. It is just the game today. By next generation it will be a debate of other lost arts.
@markogrbesa6029 жыл бұрын
+Nate Seymour you sure know a lot about basketball. I enjoyed reading your comments sir. i liked the 90's NBA more...game is now no skill rebounding center in the paint and 4 shooters out. damn i miss 90's centers who had full set offensive game. today you dont have 5 bigs that can score down low...strech 4's reign supreme now
