Something shining In your eyes, is telling me we can't go on 'Cause we've had all night And we still can't find the line between what's right and wrong (Oh we can't go on) [Chorus] Just let me hold you I'll run my fingers through your hair Let our ghost loose Let me know that you're still there It's like I told you The water's warmer underneath I know you find it hard to breath So let me hold you, you Just let me hold you And let me hold you, you Just let me hold you We've been there before Reaching the end but forgetting the reason we started this for In all of our flaws Laid out beneath us, there's no need to keep building up these walls (Oh we can't go on) [Chorus] Just let me hold you I'll run my fingers through your hair Let our ghost loose Let me know that you're still there It's like I told you The water's warmer underneath I know you find it hard to breath So let me hold you, you Just let me hold you And let me hold you, you Just let me hold you [Bridge] Put your head on my shoulders The warmth of my touch The cool of the water Put your head on my shoulders The warmth of my touch The cool of the water [Chorus] Just let me hold you I'll run my fingers through your hair Let our ghost loose Let me know that you're still there It's like I told you The water's warmer underneath I know you find it hard to breath So let me hold you, you Just let me hold you And let me hold you, you Just let me hold you

Great song. This reminds me a lot of City and Colour's "Coming Home," especially the chord progression.

This song is an entire chapter in my life bruh, the everyday background music for about 8 months, it was either that or audio books, even used it in Ballet class a few times. now when i hear it while in quarintine i get all nostalgic, i did a cover but its just not the same.

It still is a really good cover. It's not supposed to be the same ;) Awesome stuff.

Beautiful as usual... Let me ask you just out of curiosity: do you use a lapel microphone to capture the voice? Your sound has an outstanding quality. Kudos to you all. Great song, great record. 👏🎶💕

Alexander Fonseca I’m pretty sure they use a shotgun mic that’s held overhead and it’s moving at the same pace as the camera :)

@@sonata4real but then the sound wouldn't be oscillating? I mean, because of the distance between them that could not be always the same... right? Thank you for your answer btw... :-)

Love the song, But i'm not native English. Anyone can give me the interpretation of the lyric? 'the water's warmer underneath , I know you find it hard to breath'
@UKNickWilson5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! It's a kind of metaphorical thing, 'the water's warmer underneath' is the idea of something good always being around the corner, or easier to get to than you think. You just have to push through the cold water x
