I’m not too impressed with mine so far. 5 days in to it. Battery is extremely bad, camera seems blurry and not real fast. My S9 had better speakers too.

I tried both in the store (13 Pro and S22). Honestly, a tough pick which one is better in the palm, both are fantastic. Probably s22 because the camera lenses aren't as big as on 13 pro so the finger doesn't rest that much on camera lenses

Honestly it looks stunning and almost perfect. If only the battery can keep up it might be the go to phone. Great cameras, great display (AND symmetrical bezels + little punch hole), beautiful and minimal back design, small size, powerful.. I'm in love 😍

@@CrispyBLG i picked up the 22 to replace an iPhone 13 mini, and can get close to 36 hours with 6 to 8 hours on screen with the iPhone... the 22 gets 10 to 11 hours max, with 3 to 4 on screen. It's embarrassingly bad.

@@Darkman03 With Samsung phones usually it will take about a week for the phone to learn your usage pattern and optimise the battery so i say give it some time🙂

Samsung will lose. iPhone has significantly better battery + a more efficient processor. Not to mention, the standard iPhone 13 is only 60hz as opposed to Samsung's 120, which will undoubtedly drain more battery.

Great unboxing video...very detailed! I remember back in the day however unboxing stuff used to be fun...it was like opening a Christmas gift. Is it just me or are companies getting either lazy or uncreative in their presentation? Great video though :)

Great unboxing and first impressions video of the S22, watched it on my S21!! I like that Samsung went for a more premium look and feel on their base model. Not so happy that they lowered the battery capacity though. Almost makes people want to pass up the S22 and lean towards the S22 plus instead. The cameras looks like they are going to be picture perfect again, which is nice. Overall, I am pleased with Samsung, and this is a consumer who had a Pixel phone for many years and think that Samsung maybe is in contention of taking the crown as being the best Android phone you can buy!!

Thanks Gerard and you make some good points about battery life. They could sacrifice some weight and beef up the battery. Overall it's a nice premium phone, should make many happy, but it can still be improved

@@nickackermanchannel I agree that improvements are needed, and Samsung needs to take a page our of Apple's playbook in that the iphone 13 mini did not increase in size, over the Iphone 12 mini yet had better battery life or Samsung could keep the present size of it S22 but better optimize its processor to save on battery life, just a though!!

I got the s22 in green. I love it with the exception of battery life and the pretty bad standby time. Otherwise this is a great device. I know I'll give it a few days to see if battery life improves. If not I'm considering sending it back and getting the iPhone 13 mini. While android has come a long way, it can't compete with how optimized iPhones are on battery life. I never liked the while learning your usage patterns thing. Should be like the iPhone were you get consistent battery life from the start. Because for $860 Samsung should optimize it well before releasing it.

Picked up the 22 plus for the wife. She upgraded from an S8 active which is a pretty big upgrade. Our carrier had a trade in deal where we traded in the old Samsung and received $800 towards the new phone

I got the iPhone 13 just because I’m in the ecosystem, but I was tempted by the s22 because it looks so nice! I like the minimalist form factor, and it felt solid and compact too!

Why did Samsung downgrade the S22 to a glass back from the superior and more premium plastic back on the S21? The plastic back is lighter, more durable, very flexible and won't shatter like glass. It's also easier and less expensive to replace if needed. Samsung really messed up!

There's more profit in convincing people to pay more for a product that breaks and shatters and that's prohibitively expensive to replace. People are sheep. They don't use their brains.

There are. The standard s21 is plastic the 22 is glass. The camera area is a bit different

It's been a lot of problems saying S22 has overheating issues to the point where you can't even hold it in your hand because it gets really hot. One thing I notice on the newer Samsung phones that are coming out now they do not have the Dolby Atmos, aptX, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus speakers now I had the Samsung Galaxy S20 5G with 12GB ram and to me that phone was better than the S21 and the S22 and the S22+ all the models coming out now just 8GB ram unless you get the ultra I upgraded form S20 to S22 ultra with 512GB internal memory with 12GB ram that was worth upgrading one thing I do not like though it does not have an additional memory slot for a SD card but with 512GB that's plenty for me
