Honestly, I’m tired of people giving the plus a bad name. I get it, if you have a 13 Pro Max or 13 Pro, or even a 12 Pro Max, it’s understandable why you wouldn’t wanna upgrade to this phone. But, a bigger screen ratio, and the newest updated features of the 14 series makes this a great phone, regardless. If people could just get over the refresh rate and missing a third lens, they’d see this is still a great phone. I’m telling you, I always love showing people the camera and video quality of this plus, then putting it right beside say a 13 pro in comparison. Sometimes people can’t tell the difference.

i just happen to have the 14 plus and my gf has the 13 pro. Using both phones i can definitely tell no difference with the higher refresh screen of the 13pro because both phones seem to perform identically. Mostly people get annoyed knowing the specs and having placebo effects as it happened with the Xr's screen which was one of the most colour accurate lcd panel and was heavily criticized only by the specs and not its real world performance.

14 plus, I don’t need all that the pro offers and the plus isn’t as heavy which is important to me personally. The average user isn’t gonna use all the bells and whistles on the pro. I don’t notice a difference between 60 hz and 120 hz 🤷🏻‍♀️I just want the bigger screen. No worries about scrapes..I use a case 24/7 and a screen protector

Agreed. The Pros extra features end up taking up a ton of space and will end up being compressed if you want to share them anywhere. The RAW photos are meant to be manually edited in photo editing software for professionals. Imagine taking a bunch of RAW photos at party and then spending hours editing them at home, then sharing them on Instagram where they get compressed down anyway. Or a 10 minute Pro-RAW video that takes up 30-50 gigs of space but after uploading it to social media, it is compressed down and barely better than standard 4k or 1080p video. And unless you get the 1TB model, you will have to keep deleting them, and the RAW photos, from your phone.

There's actually a difference on 60hz and 120hz display but for a phone, it didn't really matter that much since iPhone is smooth with even just 60hz ( I own iPhone 14 and I have 144hz monitor) but if it were to me, I'd snag the 13 pro between these two for its size. 14 plus is just too bulky.

At the end of the day people should get the phone that fits their needs. I am happy with the 14 plus. I may get something smaller though. Going from the 13 mini to the plus was a big change and at times I miss the smaller size because of its convenience and being able to text with one hand and not having my phone weighing my pants down lol…

I dont need the extra zoom and the telephoto. The 14 plus is an amazing phone. Im a content creator and I would never use macro mode from a phone anyway. I dont need the telephoto lense either. I’d rather get physically closer to whatever it is Im taking a photo of and use my iphone’s main lense. Otherwise I just feel the image quality isnt upload-worthy. I use my phone HEAVILY every single day and my 14 plus’s battery has NEVER dropped below 50% before I charge it at night.

14 plus does what you need... no more, no less. First time I have seen where more battery life doesn't mean a bigger heavier battery aka heavier phone. LOVVVVVE the battery life/phone weight. People are saying more comfortable to hold in hand... yeah, but you are going to get hand fatigue way faster because of the weight. The weight is a way bigger deal than physical size to the average hand size. You are telling half of the story. I'm sure the smaller camera size contributes less weight too and I will take one less zoom camera for better day to day use with less weight. I'm used to zooming manually instead of the zoom camera. Also, I like the two camera look. Also, watching content on bigger screen is nicer than on my 12 pro. Any future iPhone that I pickup will have to be the same weight or less or I'm not buying it... addicted to the weight in hand and pocket.

Bigger screen is a small plus, it's uncomfortable in the hand and after a year of use you won't really feel that big screen anymore and you'll just have a phone like all the ones before it. But 3 cameras vs 2 is a big difference and you will always feel it.

Exactly. Made the same comment. You get better deals / promos by switching carriers, including MVNOs, but 13 Pros can only be bought used now. Most reputable resellers selling top condition 13 Pros used are not selling them cheap, maybe $100-$150 cheaper than 14 Pros. You will not be able to get AppleCare on 13 Pros. The 1 year warranty could be almost over (used). Also, most people likely will not being making much use of the Pros RAW photos and ProRes videos since they take up so much space and will get compressed down once uploaded to social media, the only feature most people will notice is the ProMotion (120Hz) display.

I got a refurbished one for £809 but once I had it, I couldn’t help but regret the price I paid for it. It also had a lot of issues with overheating and bugs. The cameras and 120hz definitely made it better than my 11 but other than that, it’s pretty much the same as my 11 minus the notch being smaller. I sent it back after 2 weeks cause I was so annoyed with it. Trying a pixel 7 to see how I get on with that 😅
