For Jello - would you try what Albert Kim posted about? He said the rubber dampening ball rubs against the inside of the white canopy. Shave or cut that little piece off to make the opening bigger. Just how you said the camera shifts, I think the dampener rubs the side when that happens.

I think one thing a lot of the reviews miss are if you take away the ability to capture jello free footage, this is still an incredible upgrade in image quality and transmission. If you just fly to have fun and dont care about footage, the O4 Lite is hands down the best piece of hardware out there for whoops.

It's the DJI camera, the lite units seem to all do this when adding stabilization. Most reviewers are not showing stabilized video because of this as it does not look good at all. So thanks for showing it in this video so we can decide for ourselves.

Great video. Another youtuber found that the rubber grommets holding the gromments are rubbing against the canopy (above the screw that holds in the camera and where that open oval looking shape is.) Maybe check that out and see if jello goes away

Try the tpu o4 camera mount vision 40. I’m not getting any jello or vibrations. If you’re seeing jello in flight. The rocksteady thing I’ve read is a bug and dji is working on it.

My 04 was DOA out of the box. DJI replaced it rather quickly. I am noticing that the live goggle view appears more grainy than the pro model, but I’ve only had the functional unit less than 24 hours so back to the drawing board.

My walksnail whoop, I wire the vtx to the battery pads, so it only turns on when a battery is plugged in. I assume this FC has a good bec for the 04 to not brown out in flight.

My biggest question is due you have any issues with latency when you have flown DJI in the past? Old or new version. I here so many people complain about latency making it unflyable. I don't fly anywhere near as fast as you so if you can fly with them then I may decide on DJI for digital.

There seems to be at least two sides to latency. I am one that notice it when I go from analog or hdzero to walksnail or DJI, but within a flight or two on DJI I have adjusted. Some also notice the latency but don't feel they can adjust to the latency or it takes them more flights than they are willing to adjust. Its unfortunate we can't setup a test for us to know if latency is just a short term issue or long term, for now we have to dive in and try. Could be a costly way to find if we are latency sensitive.

Nick, I wish you could put the whoop through your fast-flying. MadsTech showed what he called terrible design on the 04. He showed a close-up of the bench where the pins on the camera where it plus into the board broke free from the board. I am curious to see if it was a one-off, or is it true that O4 can't take it?

The camera view has reversed distortion it’s over corrected and weird looking. The DJI action 2 cam has it to with built in stabilization or dewarp on. Wonder if that’ll be a setting we can turn off in the future

Spent yesterday and today trying all the things you mention here (on the Femto) I just can’t get the footage to be reliably presentable with in each pack and its like floaty, I don’t know the tune is like, not dialed in at all it’s so far from what I expect from betafpv (because I ❤️ betafpv) and I don’t even feel like it’s their fault it’s just gonna take time I think

I put an o4 (lite) on my flylens 85 that I converted from HDzero. I noticed that when I didn’t use the rubber dampeners I got really bad footage with rocksteady on. I put the rubber dampeners back the footage improved with rock steady on. I haven’t tried flying with rocksteady off. I did print some 3mm TPE spacers to mount it to the camera bracket.

I have watched a few videos of this quad and Im convinced that they have too much dampening. Between the gummies and the flexible canopy its too much. The little gummies might be too soft. I tried soft mounting the O3 with a myriad of different mounting systems and I came to realize that it needs to be pretty firm but with a silicon mount. TPU works but not as well.

The problem with the jello and jitter when stabilization is added is for sure a DJI issue. It seems like everyone is having this problem with 04 Lite setups. I have tried 4 different drones with three different DJI 04 Lites, even on an over 250 gram drone, and they all do it. Even my GEPRC TinyGO 4K without any real soft camera mounting did not jerk around like the 04 Lite units when adding Gyroflow. There would be some jello which GyroFlow is not as good at removing would occur but the camera jerkiness did not happen on my TinyGo 4k. DJI needs to fix this. I am surprised you didn't mention that it could be a DJI camera fault rather then drone and or mounting issues. I am 100% sure this is a DJI camera issue.

I was happy to see that you at least showed how the video looks when Stabilization is added as I feel most reviewers are deciding to not show the stabilized video samples as they want to focus on more positive review points. The 75pro frame can be trimmed up and save 1.5grams btw. Trim the top lip off all the ducts between each strut. It gives WAY better flight performance, let’s more air across the vtx too, and I never experienced any breakage even bashing it 2s with walksnail.

@@djdubz I think it was a short. The problem is the canopy holds the camera over the vtx, so if you land upside down the bottom of your camera impales the vtx. I moved the camera away from the vtx and haven’t lost an 04 yet. But it’s still early.
