Both cameras seem to handle night flying really nice. You always do a great job reviewing fpv products. Thanks for your efforts.

10:30 that's the "new" "standard"(ish) VTX connector used by TBS Unify, Tramp, some AKK ones etc. All micro and bigger Foxeer cameras have had it for a while, I don't remember seeing it on Predator 4 nano... Anyway, camera looks great, but I don't see any obvious differences between nano and micro so I'm happy that I ordered the nano after your review 👍

This is somewhat off topic but your neighbors motorcycle is sick!!! I love the look of a street bike with an extended swingarm and a fat back tire. For me riding a motorcycle and flying fpv are similar in a way that they both were the most freeing feeling things I've had the pleasure to do in my life. Nowadays I like to keep my risk factor to a minimum though (in other words I'm too scared)so I don't ride motorcycle's anymore and when I go out to fly fpv I always wear a helmet because safety first!!!

yea, none of that. I don't see the point, I am not interested in what they are doing, I just want to fly. My neighbor across the street as aDJI Phantom, he was shocked at how fast the little drones are and also disappointed from the fpv view. I had to explain that a bit.

Fantastic flying, Nick! Great review!!! 😃 About lens flare, every lens has it, unfortunately. I see it with the Nano version as well, but it's very small in both of them, so it's not something that could harm your flight some way. BTW, I had to read a LOT about it in the time when I helped a Brazilian ufology group to analyze pictures. 😬 (But they were really fine people, not the crazy types.) Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

At this point, I vote nano camera every time. The later releases like the Baby Ratel and Toothless are just as good as my micro cameras--might as well save the weight. The way you talked about your neighbors all being friends makes me want to move to fly-over-country. Seriously, you're home town sounds really cool. Great video!

Hey Nick, off topic, and I rarely make requests lol, but you really ought to check out the microheli mobula 6 conversion frame without the ducts. Looks nice again. Maybe, if the post delivery people finally do their job, I'd be able to compare these cameras as well some day. The connector is an existing one, I've seen it being used on several VTX, like the Holybro Atlatl series. It's a JST-GH type connector.
@NickBurnsFPV4 жыл бұрын
Seems like a roll of the dice with the history of experience you have. :(
@rc-fannl73644 жыл бұрын
@@NickBurnsFPV Yeah, and I usually lose with games that use dice. So much nice flying days at the moment, where a new camera could really be put to the test. But maybe even more annoying is my new whoop batteries having gone missing, which would come in really handy should the lockdown get intensified, and going outside for recreational activities no longer be allowed. But the most frustrating is that the delivery company doesn't want to look for what went wrong, they just tell me to have the sender ask for starting an inquiry, which takes weeks and weeks, and still no result. And no parcel.

So imho I didn't see much if any performance difference in the two cameras Ive watched both videos now. I did however notice that on this larger camera there is a connector on the pub attachment and not solder pads. Does it look like that connector is removable and one could solder directly to the board? Is this an older version maybe that has the connector or vice versa? Thanks for the video and the info. Keep flying and having fun.

I like the grain of the nighttime image. Sweet camera overall. I think the images looked substantially the same also but I like control. Looking forward to the Ratel comparison. The lens flare was a bit harsh. That can be difficult to test and can certainly vary with lens size. I do enjoy the tree/sun tests. I am interested in two areas, 1.Tiniest/lightest cam & 2.Best Image cam whatever size assuming it to be appropriate to a sub-250g build. I dig smart audio. I think you could take a more leisurely stroll through the settings maybe. Thanks for the test platform info. RunCam Mini FPV DVR, correct? Your video made my day. Happy Easter/Passover/Equinox

Yes the osd can be turned off in the settings.
@JamesWilson-mz5xk3 жыл бұрын
Just putting it out there that I've bought 2 of these expensive cams (micro version) from 2 diff suppliers and both had problems. The first will not let me access osd with the dongle or cam control so I'm stuck with factory foxxeer and voltage text at bottom of feed. The second gets extremely hot and shuts itself off in about 45 seconds completely unusable. The inductor right next to the connector actually has melted the plastic label protector on the back. Nothing against foxeer I love my toothless 2s and Falcors but beware
