This will be a lot to read. I know a lot of people hate on Ginny, and think that she’s this spoiled brat and this horrible person but……let’s be real with ourselves. Let’s remember the fact that Ginny is a literal teenager….most teens have plenty of moments when they act bratty, self centered, and disrespectful especially with their parents. I’m sure some of us can relate to that, I myself when I was a teen had some bratty moments (I’m 24.) Also, Ginny being shamed for not helping Marcus and Abby at first when their issues isn’t her responsibility especially, since she’s only known them for a few months, she’s not in charge of them….and she also has her own mental health struggles. People who immediately hate on Ginny due to Georgia, don’t understand generational trauma. Since Georgia for whatever reason never got mental help as a teenager, she ended up passing down her traumas to her kids and although she did everything she did as a teen because she had to, she’s not a teen anymore….she’s a grown adult, so she doesn’t have to running and doing crazy shit. Also the reason for why Ginny acts the way she acts with Georgia, and talks to her that way is because Georgia had her so young, but also never established mother-daughter/parent-child boundaries with her….she practically raised her like an older sister. Ginny kind of had to grow up fast especially with Austin which is why we see her acting “too hard” to be an adult, because she’s had to be one but now she’s finally acting like a teenager which she is, and Georgia can’t handle it because she sometimes acts the same way. For us watching the show….of course it’s a show so it’s more dramatic but, it depicts how teens can act out sometimes and a lot of us are seeing how we probably acted as teens, and we feel embarrassed but don’t wanna admit it so we’re trying to attack Ginny for it.

It’s a trip and half for sure 😂 Also the Vivien Leigh reference: she played Scarlett O’Hara in the film adaption of Gone with the wind where after the civil war Scarlett’s really poor since her family was on the loosing side and makes a fancy dress out of her velvet curtains to fake still having money. She literally fakes it till she makes it which is exactly what Georgia is doing: plays at being rich despite having less than 1k on her bank account and seriously in debt. Money comes to money yk.
