Ok no one going to read this, but never use a toaster out of the box, you need to have it go for a couple of cycles. They put some sort of wax or smth on the heating elements to keep them safe during shipping. That's why it smoked so much and reeked foul. It's the wax evaporating. Manual should tell you how long it needs for it to be safe and oderless

If I could make some cooking suggestions. First, I like to hand wash anything new that is not electronic. There is an assumption that products that come straight from the factory are pristinely clean. Not always so. At the very least, non electronic products should be rinsed in a bowl of hot soapy water then rinsed with clear water before actual use. Second, anything electronic, turn on first for one or two minutes before actually putting in the food to burn off any electronics residue, which will eliminate that awful first use smell. Lastly, that chicken rotisserie. There should have been some fabric coated elastics to put around the chicken to hold the wings and legs in. If not, you could take a double length of clean crochet cotton and wrap the chicken in that. You might worry that the cotton would burn but after getting coated with chicken fat, it won't. That would have eliminated that wing from burning. Then, after wrapping the chicken in the elastic, make sure it is as centered as possible on the spit. Then, after cooking the chicken, enjoy the best rotisserie chicken you have ever had. Happy eating!

11:04 I’ve seen this product used before and I already have some thoughts/concerns because sadly, I’m pretty sure this isn’t going to work out. 1. I’m not sure Nick put enough ice into the ice side. It’s possible he did and we just didn’t get to see ALL the ice he put in. It needs to be PACKED full of ice and really needed ice cream salt or rock salt, and more than what Ryan put in (although he did put a decent amount in). 2. Every time I’ve seen someone try this with “mix-ins” or “add-ins” such as candy- it fails. This ice cream maker ball doesn’t typically have the ability to create a very firm ice cream, for a number of reasons. So it’s best to make a simple flavored base using a small amount of extract, and then once the ice cream is churned to yogurt consistency, scoop it out of the ball, mix in your chunky bits, and then freeze for several hours.
