This could be the best band on the planet. Sara is a ROCK star. . . Chris is the best picker in the world. . . And Sean is the most underrated guitar player ever. By the way, he is a nice guy. . . . It makes me happy that they have lasted so long. Celebrants got me through the pandemic. I love artists who can wear it. This group might be the best.

i love how good nickel creek's chemistry is, even in their banter - i keep thinking about the banter before thinnest wall where sara and chris manage to make the beginning/end of the relationship both funny and symmetrical. i crave that ability to write on the fly for myself so bad

@TuckerTheMandolinist I think of this album as a series of intertwined short stories with really amazing soundtracks. Even the instrumentals paint a great story. And they are all very well titled. I see "Despite the Weather" as prequel to "To the Airport..." Notice the titles. At the end of "To the Airport..." think of ... 2 hours earlier..." at the transition. and imagine the band trying to get to the airport in a snowstorm during "Despite the Weather".

There aint a band who conveys so much emotion, talent, and power, than these 3 guys and gal. Yes i said 3 guys cause the upright bass dude is sick as f. I hope they keep playing and having fun. Envious to anyone whos seen them live. I wasted money on metallica 20 years ago and and this band has more talent in their little toes than the entire catolog of metallica. Power aint just heavy music. Its evoking emotion. Sue me, Lars, for defamation. Nickel creek owns you. Sad but true

Agree. I was a hard-core metallica fan for years. And then my ex introduced me to Nicke Creek. Switched from metal to bluegrass really quick ❤😊

@@JonathanAucomte Great observation, couldn't agree more! The've been touring all summer and have become extremely tight. Touring a spectacular new album "Celebrants" sure doesn't hurt. All are perhaps the best there is at their respective instruments. Incredible vocalists too!
