I just did plating today for the first time and I didn't see the sludge and green on the electrode. I wonder if you have contaimination?

Is it possible to nickel plate onto aluminum

Hi Donald - short answer is yes. But you need to make sure the aluminum is thoroughly clean and free from oxides which tends to form very quickly. You can copper plate as a filler then nickel plate. Hope this is helpful Hugh

Hi Mohsin Short answer is ‘no’ you can’t. What is plated needs to be conductive so electricity can pass from anode to cathode. Plastic is an insulator - unless you coat it with a conductive substance first.
