Good video. It would be nice if you can make more of these "live reaction" style music reviews in the future, particularly one for Nickelback's next album "The State"

Curb is an excellent record. it is raw and powerful. Maybe i'm biased because Nickelback are my favorite band, but this record is honestly one of the best ones, because it's Simple. The State is the greatest record by them

Really cool to see you review some music! As a pretty passionate music fan myself, I always love finding out about interesting stuff like this. Looking forward to any more of these that you do! Edit: listening to the snippets of this album here it certainly sounds more musically ambitious than their 2000s infamy, even if it is pretty derivative of a lot of alternative bands from the time. A few legitimately good songs and some that are mostly misfires. It's a shame they tanked so hard after this, their hatedom probably wouldn't be nearly as bad and some more polish and nuance on this formula could have worked well on a follow up.

Nickelback was my childhood music. I’m a 2000 zoomer. And speaking of my childhood and Goo Goo Dolls, I mostly know them for the theme song for Treasure Planet, one of Disney’s most underrated and best films.

This album is far from perfect but compared to damn near every other Nickelback album that they pumped out since, this is still comparably their best despite its flaws, and I'm a sucker for 90s grunge sound

I was curious how a music review would go given KZbin's copyright crap, but what worries me is when it goes full swing. It's like nowadays things go wrong like a year or 2 later, and it all happens at once. but overall I do like it, I would like more of it, definitely.

Can you review The State by Nickelback?
@susanoakley73226 ай бұрын
I thought The State was pretty good. 2005 to 2008 I was a big fan of Nickelback, but then started getting into their support bands like Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin. After 2008, all Nickelback songs just seemed sorta meh😒

Love them. So stoked that they never went away and made it to the top. The biggest joke imo is how shallow most of the shitty comments on them are. They're tight af and groovy with their riffs. That's what set them apart in the earlier days i think.

These songs are like if you took any early 2000s song, cut of the ends, moved them apart and used content aware fill on the space in between them

If you're gonna do another album review, I recommend Stealer of Souls by Stormbringer. They were one of the last hair metal bands of the 90's. The demo Stealer of Souls was released in 93, then they released it in 94 as an EP with three studio produced songs.

My only complaint with this is that your voice recordings are at a low enough volume compared to the music that it can become a little difficult to hear your comments without constantly playing with the volume. Other than that, this was interesting, and I certainly wouldn't mind more content like this.

A track would start playing, I had a thought, and then you almost immediately say more or less what I was thinking! Guess we're on the same channel with rock. They were all over the place, often ripping off Alice In Chains, and I would rather just listen to Alice In Chains. Maybe this is why Nickleback is disliked: they're just derivative and late to the party. They're good at trying to sound like someone else, and when they're not trying to ape someone better, they're just boring. Still, I'll admit that these sounds hit the nostalgia button hard with me even though I didn't know any who listened to this stuff, even me! White music wasn't so prominent were I grew up, coming in mostly through TV and movies. Yet, this is so '90s Gen X angst in its most generic form, and I could eat that up and not be able to care how much of a bitch that makes me. I'll do it to the Mortal Kombat soundtracks instead, though! :P
