I'm with you. I already knew them, but happened upon them playing at a street festival in Iowa City in 2004ish. Half of the songs that I sang to my kids when they were babies were Nickel Creek. good for you. just the fact that you realise that, it's a great thing in life, and great step forward. I didn't have this music to relate when I left a relationship like that, I had to practically discover all that "by myself" through the years. but I remember being exactly the same feeling and thoughts, just a little bit messy at the time. really incredible how music can put things into perspective. before talking to one, I remember watching some videos from a psychologist called DoctorRamani on youtube about that stuff, and helped me a lot to make sense through all the things I felt, went through, and could not explain. specially heal from all that.

I'm sorry, but reading one of the comments below just made me shake my head. I can't believe someone doesn't like Sara Watkins vocal. She has a beautiful, sweet sounding vocal. Her tone is rich and textured, much like Stevie Nicks's original recording of Landslide. Sara, along with her band mates have perfect harmonies...they are all amazing musicians on top of their flawless vocals. Their performances blow me away. I believe I have great taste in music and a good ear being a musician myself, and what I hear is an awesome song that I will add to all my favorites.
