March 2000 two things gs happened: Mardi Gras holiday and the dreaded new Louisiana LEAP for the 21st Century highstakes exam. I had to pass English Language Arts/Reading and Mathematics in order to graduate 8th grade and avoid summer school to take the new test again. I enjoyed Mardi Gras holiday.
