Wow, as early as 1987 they had the Super Toy Run. And this was before Supermarket Sweep came to Lifetime!

And also commercials that you could never air today. You could never have a commercial where the openly said that girls have the advantage to win. And to enter and tell them you're a girl.

I believe they had at least two before this. It might have been a coincidence that both winners were girls, but I guess the opportunity to goad kids into entering was just too good to pass up.

@@joeybaseball7352 Or it was a ploy to get more girls to enter i.e. they noticed it was mostly only boys entering in overwhelming numbers, so they pushed the narrative girls have the advantage just to get them to play into it
