Kids aren't thinking about that. Yes, the parents should have caught on, and the culprits shouldn't have done what they may or may have not done.

Kenan was a child himself. Looking back he may realize what he was witnessing was abusive, but it wasn't happening to him. What was has as a child supposed to say or do?! As an adult, I can see she is really just seeking validation and acknowledgement, which is deserved. But we can't blame others kids for what the adults allowed to go on. It's all very sad and tragic, because there are so many who suffer in silence and take it to the grave.
