I had an idea for a video. Review games that have been heavily patched since they came out. Sometimes patches can turn a 6/10 into an 8/10 if they fix totally broken things. Think like games that had huge potential but were too buggy or difficult. I think Swords of Ditto was patched to be playable, and Nowhere Prophet would delete your save file when it came out. There's a handful of games I'd like to buy but reviews say they're buggy like Spinch.

Rime on switch is also such game (and for example Doom). I was looking at Saints Row IV myself but couldn't find any patching info on youtube.

This is arguably the best roster in any of nick kart games. No fairly oddparents characters, but I'd take Danny Phantom over any characters from that series anyway. Rocko and Zim characters included is dope. I'm gonna wait for this to come out on PC tho

That's a really thorough review covering all the important points. I really wanted to love this game, but as you say, the characters are just hollow soul-less versions. Fingers crossed for version 3.

Nickelodeon always had interesting characters, combining them into one game is great idea. Love everything about this game, but 40$ is a little too much. :( Wishlisted and waiting for sale. :D

I'm surprised they didn't do something cooler. Nickelodeon is fucking always on top of the game. I would have expected them to do something outside of the box like making a mario kart style and smash bros all in one.

As for me growing up with these Nickelodeon characters. The Voices are a major negative... However then again the demographics of this game is for people 30 years younger than me.... Gosh I am old smh...

The PS4 version of the first game had a decent framerate. Hopefully this one will be more solid on PS4 too.

I know how you feel. The roster looks pretty good and the gameplay and graphics are passable but the lack of voice acting hurts the total package. Will definitely wait for a deep sale.

Was hoping to race down nostalgia lane with the kids but these characters with no soul are def not worth the price tag. My son is bugging me to get this, good thing I didn’t. Told him we already have mario kart 8 and its far better than this one. If it goes on sale like for below $10 i’ll probably change my mind and get it for him and add it to my gallery.

everyone is entitled to their own opinion.... I respect yours! comparing one game from another is in a way healthy for both devs and consumers to have a wide variety of games to choose from, given all pros and cons of each games. For now, I’m not yet ready to get this game but if future updates make it stand out then i’ll give it a try 😁

okay i love how honest you were because i've been noticing that nintendo life reviews feel fake, like their being bought out to say a bad game is a great game when it objectively isn't - like this one, they gave it a 7/10...i- i was honestly shocked; i believed that it was *that* good but now i know what is wrong with it and it's a disappointment to me. anyway here is just my compiled thoughts on the whole roster thing - if you want to read it; i found the rooster to be okay, i love the characters that i grew up with that are there i am just annoyed that they put a real-life person in this game...w-when the demographic is mostly aimed (from the *obviously* old characters) at people who are older, and younger -i-it's just that nick needs to understand that not a lot, of children, find a teenager that is acting like a 11-12-year-old (which can progress to mental illness over the years because she is going to stay stuck like this, i am not kidding here - i feel terrible for this girl at times :s...cause my gosh that is some issues she got) that is 17 turning 18 years old...i-it doesn't sit well at all because of the fact that jojo isn't a character at all in nick...s-she's just a regular person that just comes in and sings, that's about it. she ain't a cartoon figure that people adore. no offense to the girl. what else? i am going to possibly make you reply here but i don't like ren and stimpy, because i can remember clear of that show giving me, other children nightmares at times because of how dark it got at times in episodes to an adult level that i found it uncomfortable to view. i then found out that the creator is an egoistic, p3dophile, nut job,...he actually went to jail if i am correct or just got fired once everything leaked out about him. there is a youtuber that talks in detail about what he did in nick, i really urge you to watch the video man because that show had some symbolic crap in it that wasn't targeted at kids that i-it makes you wonder wtf is wrong with the creator?? well you'll get the answer with the document about him. ugh..man makes me shiver. - so i would've loved those characters to be out of the roster...(i am hoping the modding community replaces them just like they did with mario kart 8 with the character roster lol) uh what else? loud house, i don't like it cause of the fact that they brought politics to children show that shouldn't be viewing adult topics like the abc rainbow community (cannot type the name or i will get my comment taken down, it's happened before :/....like lots of times...it's annoying). would've adored them to be switched again with other old nick characters, or just like add on to the list of characters that are in there already with other characters from their show that kids adored - and adults too :3. like danny phantom, could've added the crew there to replace the loud house characters, (( another thing the community itself...no one should be near it, *boi* there is so much rule 34 and incest..i wanna barf)) . who else?? the finale character that i *strongly* believe that needs to be taken down is korra, i am going to be glad when someone mod removes her arse lmao! nobody likes her, the fact that nick is so obsessed that people like her when they don't because a youtuber named e;r went over the entire show of how *awfully* objectively this show was, the main character itself is a horrible person, and the review ratings for that show went below as heck, nobody was watching it. cause it stank, it's a bad show - i really would've loved them to replace korra with another avatar the last airbender. Ren and Stimpy have a big legacy in Nickelodeon and animation in general, independent of the creator's actions and allegations, which have surged only somewhat recently. That doesn't mean that it's forever tainted or that the whole show revolves around him. It actually went on for many seasons after he was fired (for budget and attitude reasons, not for any misconduct). I can't stress how important this show is for the birth of Nickelodeon and people who watched it at the time, people who may never even know about the creator. It had some adult jokes and shows could get away with much more back then, so what? It's not a mean show meant to traumatize kids or reflect the creator's immoral thoughts at all. Not every show is for everyone. This game just has some fun references and "eediot" is the most "adult" thing you'll find.

As for JoJo, have you noticed that people who seem to hate her are all teens and adults that first dislike her looks or voice and then try to justify why? You think a lot of children won't like her? Well, you're wrong. Like wrong by many millions. It's mostly judgmental grown-ups who don't like her. Before you feel so concerned that she will have a psychological problem for acting 11, maybe realize that that's part of her act and brand? Are you also concerned about hosts for kids shows? Loud voice, high energy, vibrant colors and positivity are *not* childish. What defines a mature person is not whether they wear a bow, but their sense of responsibility. She's making a profession out of her music and dancing, manages her brand, and is branching out to acting too (she recently got a role in a movie). If that's not being a respectable adult, you may need to be less superficial. I know a lot of adults don't like her or recognize her, but she's 1 character out of 30, and if she can make millions of children happy, she absolutely deserves to be there. Nickelodeon is much more than what we in our 20s and 30s think.
