I have the SK1050 and I love not having to grease my Ditch Witch. But I do love the simplicity of tightening the tracks by injecting grease in the slack adjusters. They also give you a gauge to test the track tension.
@nickenslandscapingexcavating2 жыл бұрын
The little MT bobcats have a huge but to adjust the track tension. Not grease able like the large bobcats. The nut is a pain in the rear. I would like the non grease able machine as well. Greasing the tracks on the bobcats is a pain. Apparently the new mt100 has a greaseless roller system for the tracks though

Funny thing is I was trying to buy a tx1000 narrow track last spring. Dealer let me demo one and when I went to sign on the line they came back and said it was not available and gave me the run around. Toro has had problems with the narrow track and it ended up wasting a bunch of my time. I confronted Toro about it at the gie last year and and never got a good answer from them. Went to Bobcat and bought a mt85 last spring and I dont know how I lived without it. Like you said I like the simple design. Its also the cheapest of the minis I priced and can run full size bobcat attachments.

My experience with track loaders is limited. However, I will not that using my friends sk800 is a dream. For reference, i have some experience with kubota tractors, 1 kubota skid steer, nice and new, and a new holland tractor, ran 2 differnt bucket trucks. Of all these systems, my friends sk800, hands down has the smoothest hydraulics, and i love the 2 stick system for vehicle control. the single stick in the kubota didn't feel as smooth, and it was far easier to make gradual turns with individual controls rather than on one stick. Just my limited experience. Feel free to comment if yours has been different single vs combo stick vehicle control.

I can understand the concern with the screen and greaseless bushings but the best thing to do when researching these machines (even better than demoing), is to get online and try to find any negative commentary that you can about the unit your looking at. With the 1050, you will not find any...anywhere. And that unit has been around for about 5 years now. I hope that you have a good experience with the Bobcat, but when you get your next one, Id highly suggest revisiting the 800 or 1050 and checking out the Vermeer 925 or CTX 100. They actually have the best track record in the field for durability. Not to mention the CTX and the 1050 have WAY more power. btw did they really quote you $39-$40k on the TX1000?

@wpog84535 жыл бұрын
It depends on how theyre used. That's likely from constantly pushing the operating capacity to the limit doing tree work. Ive seen negligible wear on mine at the 300 hour mark. Either way, they cost about $15-$20 a piece and the only ones that you have to worry about much are the linkage on the attachment plate. Takes about 20 min to replace them all (compared to how much time and grease you spend daily on zerks?). I sold my Ditch Witch and now have a Vermeer CTX 100 with zerks all over it. Nice machine but I miss the greaseless bushings on the Ditch Witch. Its one of the best innovations in the mini skid market hands down.

Plate doesn't tip far enough. HUGE FLAW. Especially when dumping wet dirt over a dump trailer. Also bent both rear idle wheel axles and tore up the lugs. (have to keep them tight) my main hydro block that controls bucket leaks and the main tilt piston won't hold pressure any more. It's a great machine that blows the rest away with power but!!! Also dont like that the engine sides are open so if your running in brush watch out have almost jammed sticks and crap in there a few times.

If you ever need to pull a railroad car loaded with 50k pounds of steel you can use a Dingo.... EDIT: and the Toro Dingo's tracks aren't good at all.

First off your pricing is wrong on the toro TX1000. New they are $28000. Secondly you did not get into much about the dingo or the ditch witch. Also,if you own the bobcat,you need to buy cat attachments, where as all others are universal,making it easier to find used attachments. Toros come with kevlar tracks,maybe that's why they are thinner? Idk? But I've used all 3 machines,and I love the dingo,especially the speed and smoothness of the machine. How much did bobcat pay you for this video?LOL..You are just used to an inferior product. Just my opinion.
