Since I found her after my bride Brenda became an angel and after Brianna Lea Pruetts, one of our favorite artists, followed my angel bride, music has been the ultimate healing force in my life. Still alone but with music and memories. And make the world a better place with love not hate.

I can't be the only one who feels Nicki always comes across as such a genuine and kind-hearted human being. Not very often to find people who are both beautiful and talented and with such a genuinely warm nature as well.

Man, you are an inspiration. I'm the son of an immigrant and my Dad left the shores of the land he knew and loved for a better life in a land far away called Australia. This song choked me up somewhat as we are all immigrants and all have a story to tell. I hope you continue on your journey of love and compassion, God bless you.

I like the John Lennon reference. I also like that somebody else realizes shouting at the problem doesn't actually solve anything; solutions do. Great voice as always!

Nicki I posted this to my facebook page after Charlottesville, VA terrible events. I love the peacefulness of the song and the words, and it is sad how the state of our country makes it necessary to come back to this time and time again.

Looks like she's playing D-G-A(A7) capo 3rd, he C-F-G(G7) capo 5th. Couldn't be simpler, really. Just like "Imagine", which it references, of course. The skill comes in the quality of their voices, and the harmonies they sing, which are lo-o-vely, just epically lovely

I kinda like her.... Interesting to read the comments.... My sentiments (as if anyone really cares) One half of the country is trying to help the whole country, While the other half are only out for themselves.... I’m sure you can figure it out. Nice song though...👍🏻😁

anyone care to add chords? love wins nicki bluhm and the gramblers Capo: 5 Intro: verse: The roots of each tree and each family Began in the soil or the seas And the sun that shone down, bringing life to us all Is the same sun above you and me And the hopes of our mothers and fathers Are the same hopes we have for our kids To give a better life, Endure sacrifice To have all the things we never did chorus: Don’t call me a hippie , Just cause i want peace Try imagining this song came true Oh and nothing to kill or to die for For a moment consider this view And don’t say my hearts bleeding cause i empathize Or suggest that my message is skewed Is it crazy to think we could see eye to eye After all im just human like you verse: And who can deny a pink sunset Or the clouds as the move across the sky The breath of fresh air, Clean water to share We all need these things to survive chorus: So, Don’t call me a hippie , Just cause i want peace Try imagining this song came true Oh and nothing to kill or to die for For a moment consider this view And don’t say my hearts bleeding cause i empathize Or suggest that my message is skewed Is it crazy to think we could see eye to eye After all im just human like you verse: Well this carousel keeps on turnin And its over before it begins When hatred and fear , is all that you hear Just remember that love always wins. Chorus: Oh, Don’t call me a hippie , Just cause i want peace Try imagining this song came true Oh and nothing to kill or to die for For a moment consider this view And don’t say my hearts bleeding cause i empathize Or suggest that my message is skewed Is it crazy to think we could see eye to eye After all im just human like you outro: After all im just human like you (x4)

Good luck with your career - might want to reconsider alienating the half of the country that weren't protesting the results of the last election. I came here to listen to your music but your 'healing anthem' for your side reminded me that there are sides, rather than people enjoying music together, and turned me off to listening more. Too bad, I enjoyed the sounds, but not the sentiments.
