Nicki Minaj Producer Makes a Beat ON THE SPOT. In this 'On The Spot Sessions' episode we feature west coast hip hop music producer/ grammy nominated sound designer Snipe Young (Lil Jon, "Neff-U" Feemster, Nicki Minaj) who uses Native Instruments Maschine Studio to bang out two fire tracks for singer Eamon and emcee Drizzy Dro to bring us that fresh coast funk. We were able to capture this live on the spot. Recording session took place at Snipe Studios in California. Filmed by @El_Ybi. 'Monstracity Kit 2' and 'The Vape Kit' was used and can be purchased at maschinemasters...

Onika Boss I don't, theres the odd song where she actually isn't talking shit in her music, but same situation with lil wayne and even eminem these days, as long as it sounds good idiots love it regardless of their terrible flow and beats which are often way to fast for them to keep up with

It was great to see Snipe in his element producing on the spot with interacting with the artists and working through to the final product. I have his MPC expansion packs which are top notch and I know he makes expansions for native instruments as well. Snipe is very inspiring and I hope to work with him someday.

I know its all preference but isn't it pretty pointless to have a mpc touch if you already own a maschine studio? lol. Theres no way that mpc has a workflow like the studio. Correct me if i'm wrong?
@SoundsAndGear
@SoundsAndGear 8 жыл бұрын
I can't answer for anyone else, but personally I have an mpc touch, push, maschine, beat thang, spark, etc...each is different, each has it's own workflow. That's kinda like saying a person doesn't need multiple guitars, or synths...or different screwdrivers lol...they're just tools ;)
@EliteOnTheBeat
@EliteOnTheBeat 8 жыл бұрын
Ya i guess you got a point. I primarily was just saying that the workflow of the maschine studio seems to be unmatched i mean i could make a 4 bar loop with 8 sounds in a minute. lol. Can you do that with the mlc touch, push and beat thang? Just curious thats all? I only own the maschine studio and kk and of course a motif es. That seems to get used less and less these days especially since installing Komplete 9. Wonder how i could play motif sounds using the kk. I bet you would know.... Didn't you have a motif back in the day if i remember correctly?

ok. It really comes down to the DAW (digital audio workstation) that you use. None of his controllers will play music unless they are hooked into his computer. They have what is referred to as MIDI technology. There are tons of midi controllers out there that you can buy but some are pricey. I started out with an akai lpd8 and that was all. I have now upgraded to an akai mpk49 which is a great tool for both pros and beginners. I really like akai products but just remember none of these things work without a DAW. You can find some for free but I really encourage you to sink your money into a DAW that works best for you. Many people go with fl studio as beginners but some great ones are ableton live, reason, logic, bandcamp atc. Noone can tell you wgich is best though. It differs for everyone. Hope I helped more than the other twats lmao
