To clarify for Zee or any other reader: They asked her not to perform DURING THE SHOW. Ads with her in it were played on TV, her performance was highly advertised since she was the first solo female rapper to perform, she already planned and rehearsed... And they saw the rehearsals too. They told her backstage not to perform and she said no so the repercussion was her losing Best New Artist
