Those songs didn't need theatrics. LTTISY is an intimate song about her that's why it was just her on stage. It was giving vulnerable and sensual, period. Not every performance needs backup dancers to distract from the artist. The snippet was delivered like the real MC that she is. And, yes it was a perfect contrast to her 50th Hip Hop anniversary performance, she's a versatile artist and performer. She did her thing! LTTISY is a B-side track, not a title track, that's why there's no MV. It's an album promo ahead of the release in 2 months. Also, Adele just stands and sings for hours without sets or dancers but people will pay big bucks to see her in love. Let's not box Nicki in as one type of performer please.

It's okay for people to be underwhelmed by just standing alone with a mic. It's not saying she isn't talented, but in comparison to her other performances this one fell flat. Even Mariah Carey has people carry her around the stage so she isn't just standing there. She could have given a bit more to make it more entertaining especially since it's a slower song. After watching several high energy performances this one broke that and was slower. So you would expect to see screen visuals, or plays on lighting, her moving around a bit more or having dancers to move for her. There were a lot of performers but most people tuned in for Nicki.
