Especially considering it would have been very simple to clean up the stain and fix the hair. I like the new face, too. I do wonder how well it will last considering she seemed to be primarily using make-up to render the face.

that was lovely. i don't normally like dolls unless they are porcelain but this is pure art. can i suggest a before and after shot of a closeup on the doll's face at the end of the videos? i think it would be interesting to see a comparison after watching the hard work that goes into it.

Violet Hibine All dolls are the same. But most collecters get percelein dolls. I'm not saying you have to play with all dolls. I honestly don't like Barbies! But you should try playing with a EAH doll or a MH doll. You might like it! (P.S Most barbies don't have poseable arms. And some MH dolls don't have poseable arms.)

I like the older generation of MH that came out when I was like 9. Their heads were easier to take off and their hair. Too bad they don't sell them anymore..

actually i discovered that you can remove maker stains on dolls with hydrogen peroxide it doesn't take off the paint though.

I have tried some pimple cream and other things. They do work,but sometimes you have to bake them in the sun .. and I was on a time crunch lol!

ive delt with dolls in much worse condition. try dipping the magic eraser into acetone. that will take off ANYTHING!

Wow it's so beautiful, but the doll isn't the biggest thing to be paying attention to. The thing we should be paying alot of attention to is this woman's gift. She's recycling old worn out dolls and transforming them into something full of Beauty and effort. I want someone like her to be a friend or family member. Am I right? No, probably just me. I really like the way you did the eyes, I’ve never seen someone use that technique before. They turned out really realistic and beautiful! I tend to like all kinds of styles of repainted, but especially realistic. Very beautiful doll 😊

It was cool that you were able to use an old toy, I don't think she ruined it -- just played with it and enjoyed it for what it was. My absolute favorite thing about watching videos like these is seeing the blank, soulless eyes/face slowly become defined and beautiful as life is breathed into them once again!! You know you could use acne cream and it should remove any stains on the dolls face

It does work, but be very careful. It removes makeup, will even take away the color of the vinyl if left on to long leaving a white spot. The process can be speed up a bit with natural sunlight, but again beware of fading.........

These are so cool! I once saw a toy-restorer work at her craft at a convention once, and I never cease to be amazed at the levels of dedication, patience and skill required to restore these old toys. At about the 2:30 mark or so, it looks like the doll's asleep, patiently waiting her makeover; then at about the 6:00 mark, it's like she's gradually waking up & at about the 8:00, she begins to acquire a whole unique new persona. And from about the 9:30-10:27 mark on, you almost expect her to speak (probably ask if she can have a mirror.) It really is an uncanny, remarkable creative art process. Thank you for sharing it with us.

You did a wonderful job. I can only suggest flipping the face upside down and taking a look from time to time so any asymmetrical sections will reveal themselves to your eye. But overall fantastic job and thank you for sharing your work x
